Feeling Love's comfort

I woke in the night and the Manchester bombing was up on Facebook. Turning away from the shocking Facebook report, I turned to God in prayer.

I found these words from Psalms 46 comforting: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

To me, this meant that God, divine Love, was a present help for everyone at that concert. I could pray that Love's presence would be felt, feel comforted myself by divine Love, and know that despite the ugly pictures of fear and the results of the bomb, God was present--caring for each one.

This brought me some peace and a sense of the all-power of God, good, even when terror claims to be powerful. I have kept with these thoughts during the day.
