Friends, new friends and old. Caravans full of laughter. Pancakes. Pancakes. And more pancakes. Board games and mad music. These are warm feelings and memories from Easter Camp 2017.
But what underpinned all these happy moments and the currents of love ?
Prayer must have laid a spiritual foundation, which brought light and harmony to all.
Even when discussion groups raised tricky or sensitive issues, or seemed to temporarily fixate on problems rather than solutions, the Christ Spirit was there, present to comfort and heal, and to lift thought to a higher view.
The off-site activity day this year included a 'Swallows and Amazons' experience which tested each family's canoeing, archery and fire-lighting skills. Smoke under the woody canopy and children's footsteps through the trees following by splashing and backing out of the squelchy river plants along the banks.
But most of all, an inspiring lecture, a talk by a practitioner, and a hymn sing closing the fresh sunny morning on the beach.
