Where is my place?

"Where is my place? We have all had times in our lives when we have perhaps felt · Out of place, · That nothing seems to be falling into place · Unhappy or insecure in a place · Or simply feeling disturbed and ‘ all over the place’.

In Christian Science we understand that God is our Father, Mother, Love and each day we acknowledge His great love and care for us. Therefore we understand that whatever place we find ourselves and whatever the challenges we are facing God is there. His Love will continually protect, guide and guard us all.

In the Bible in the book of Psalms it is written: HE that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

We can use these Bible verses in our prayers for ourselves, our family, our local community and the world affirming that in every place, God’s Love is present, gently shadowing us and providing a safe spiritual refuge.

In the dictionary ‘place’ is defined as : home. location. This poem is titled ‘My place’ so it also applies to ‘my home and my location’!

Where is my place?

A dark, lonely place? No!

A happy, stimulating place,

A ‘cared for’ and ‘watched over’ place.

Where is my place?

A frightening, unstable place? No!

A secure and safe place,

A loving and God guided place.

Where is my place?

A lacking and needy place? No!

An abundant, overflowing place,

A grateful and rejoicing place. Where is my place?

An ’out of place’ place No!

A flexible and orderly place,

A giving and receiving place.

Where is my place? In the secret place of the most High

A complete and quiet place,

MY PLACE IS A SPACE IN GOD’S PLACE."
